In race 10 Team Vodafone’s Craig Lowndes started on pole position, but was sandwiched in between the 2 cars of Paul Dumbrell and David Reynolds during the 1st lap. In lap 2 the safety car had to be bought in for first time in the race for Jason Bargwanna – Jana Living Racing and then for Warren Luff from Gulf Western Racing. Jason Bargwannas car pulled over to the side due to engine problems, and then Warren Luff ended up on the grass.
Jamie Whincup started 3rd on the grid and finished 1st in race 10. Steven Johnson got the jump on the pole sitter Craig Lowndes who dropped from 1st to 4th on lap 1 due to Craig stalling at the starting grid.
In the pitlane the Team Vodafone’ crew should have brought car 888 in first because of how much time Craig was losing, due to the incident of being sandwiched on the track during lap 1. The pit strategy for the whole race was critical to the race results.
